Fire Extinguisher Training Class

**Did you know that OSHA requires that employees be educated in the use of fire extinguishers every year?

Specifically, 29 CFR 1910.157(g) states:
 
“Where the employer has provided portable fire extinguishers for employee use in the workplace, the employer shall also provide an educational program to familiarize employees with the general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards involved with incipient stage fire fighting.”
 
Code 3 Training has been providing comprehensive OSHA compliant fire extinguisher training classes to individuals and businesses for over 10 years. The class includes a detailed educational session of the common types of fire extinguishers, the different classifications of fires, the hazards of different class fires, the importance of using the proper fire extinguisher on different class fires, the do’s and don’ts  on fire extinguisher operation and when a fire extinguisher is an appropriate means to fight a fire.

Also included with this training class are the hands on demonstration and use of an actual fire extinguisher to put out a real fire. Each person will build their skills and confidence by putting out a liquid fuel fire. There is no replacement to the practical hands on training that is provided by Code 3 Training. It is one thing to attend the classroom training and another to be able to say you have the confidence and training to put out a real live fire!
